Our group's objectives are:
Support, conduct and promote research, development and adoption in best-practice, innovative regenerative livestock production methods
Partner with industry research bodies, government and other industry groups to add value to the livestock industry in WA
Coordinate events to increase farmer knowledge in systems-based livestock production, including workshops, field days and guest presenters
Build capacity, networks and leadership in sustainable livestock production
Through education, research, development and adoption of regenerative livestock production management methodologies, we will be a leadership model for appropriate and resilient land stewardship and sustainable agriculture techniques.
Formally incorporated in 2021, our group's origins stem back to 2010. Our group began to build networks and host farm visits for those practicing some level of biological farming; holistic management and regenerative agriculture, either on a 'whole-farm-basis', or incorporating management processes including:
planned grazing/holistic grazing management
the use of biological ameliorants
multi-species fodder cropping in Wheatbelt production systems
incorporation of perennial pasture production into arid and -Wheatbelt areas
incorporation of philosophies that relate to sustainable agriculture; regenerative agriculture; holistic management, and environmental stewardship
